Everything. Supply of the quartz slab, a home site visit, laser digital templating to 0.5mm accuracy, CNC fabrication, professional fitting by our own team, standard sink and hob cutouts, drainer grooves, upstands, waste removal, and a 10-year warranty. There is nothing left to add on top.

No. The price at checkout is the price you pay. We do not charge extra for templating, fitting, cutouts, or waste removal — all of that is included as standard. The only extras would be optional upgrades you actively choose, such as a different edge profile. We built our pricing this way because we were tired of the industry habit of quoting a low headline figure and then stacking on charges later.

Payment is taken in full at checkout via Shopify Payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We do this because it keeps the process simple and means we can lock in your site visit date immediately. There are no staged payments or hidden balance-on-completion fees.

Engineered quartz worktops are made from approximately 93% ground natural quartz crystals bound together with polymer resins and pigments. Quartz is the fourth-hardest mineral on Earth (7 on the Mohs scale, just below diamond at 10). The engineering process produces a surface that is non-porous, never needs sealing, and is consistent in colour from slab to slab. Our quartz worktops guide goes into much more detail.

For most kitchens, yes. Quartz is non-porous (0.02% water absorption vs 0.5–1% for granite), so it never needs sealing and does not harbour bacteria. It is also more consistent — granite is a natural stone, so every slab is different, which can be a problem if you need a colour match across multiple pieces. 20mm suits most kitchens and gives a clean, contemporary look. 30mm provides a chunkier, more substantial feel and works particularly well on kitchen islands where you can see the full edge. Structurally both are equally strong for normal kitchen use — the choice is primarily aesthetic. We go into the detail in our 20mm vs 30mm thickness guide.

Absolutely. Belfast (or butler) sinks are one of the most common configurations we fit. The quartz is templated and cut to sit precisely around the sink, with the front edge of the stone finished to match your chosen edge profile. Just make sure your Belfast sink is in place before the site visit so our fitter can template around it accurately.

Quartz can handle temperatures up to about 150°C without damage, but you should always use a trivet or heat mat for hot pans. The resin that binds the quartz crystals can discolour or crack under sudden, extreme heat — and that kind of thermal shock damage is not covered by warranty. This applies to granite and most other worktop materials too. A £3 trivet protects a £2,000 worktop. Read more in our care and maintenance guide.

Typically two to three weeks. After you order, we confirm your site visit date within 3 working days. The site visit itself takes 30–45 minutes. Fabrication then takes 5–7 working days, and fitting is usually scheduled within a few days of fabrication completing. See the full timeline on our How It Works page.

Our fitter arrives at your home with a laser templating system that measures to 0.5mm accuracy. Over 30–45 minutes, they measure every angle, check for level, photograph the layout, and discuss cutout positions, edge profiles, upstands, and drainer grooves with you. Yes. Your sink plumbing and any gas supply to a hob need to be disconnected by a qualified tradesperson before our team arrives. We also need your existing worktops to still be in place (we remove them as part of the fitting), but all appliances should be disconnected and the area clear. Full preparation details are on our delivery and fitting information page.

You select a preferred date at checkout (minimum 7 days from your order). We then confirm exact availability within 3 working days by telephone. If your preferred date is not available, we will offer the nearest alternative. Most customers get their first or second choice.

Just email hello@quartzstore.co.uk or ring us as soon as you know. We can usually reschedule a site visit with a few days' notice. Fitting dates are harder to move at short notice because fabrication is already underway, but we will always do our best to accommodate changes.

Day to day, warm water and a soft cloth is all you need. For stubborn marks, a mild washing-up liquid works well. Avoid bleach, abrasive cleaners, and anything with a pH above 10 — these can dull the surface over time. Never use scouring pads. Quartz is non-porous, so it resists staining far better than granite or marble. That said, strong pigments like turmeric, red wine, or permanent marker can leave marks if left sitting for hours. The solution is simple: wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth. If a stain does develop, a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water left for 15 minutes usually lifts it completely.

Your worktop comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in the material itself — cracking, delamination, and colour inconsistency. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse (heat damage from hot pans, impact damage, or chemical damage from harsh cleaners). We also guarantee our fitting workmanship. If you notice anything within the first year, get in touch and we will sort it.
