Grey Enigma is the most versatile surface in our collection. A refined mid-grey with a crystalline quality that shifts subtly in different lighting. It is the colour our fitters install most often — and the one that draws the fewest second guesses.

The surface has a quiet depth. Under natural daylight, fine crystal flecks become visible across the grey base, giving the stone a gentle luminosity. Under warm artificial light, it reads as a calm, solid grey. Neither demands attention nor disappears into the background.

This is the surface that works with virtually everything. White cabinets, grey cabinets, navy units, timber fronts, even dark green — Grey Enigma complements without competing. For open-plan kitchen-living spaces where the worktop needs to feel considered but not dominant, this is the stone we recommend most.

Grey Enigma — Common Questions

How much does Grey Enigma cost?

From £1,920 fully fitted (20mm single slab). 30mm from £2,050. All prices include supply, template, fabrication, fitting, cutouts, and 10-year warranty.

What makes Grey Enigma different from Strata Imperial?

Grey Enigma is a slightly darker, more neutral grey with crystal flecks. Imperial is lighter with more visible directional movement. Enigma is the safer, more versatile choice. Imperial has more visual personality.

Does Grey Enigma work with dark navy cabinets?

Exceptionally well. The neutral grey creates a sophisticated pairing with navy that avoids the coldness of white worktops. It is one of our most requested combinations.

Will the crystal flecks be visible from across the room?

Not usually. The crystalline quality is a close-up detail that adds depth when you are working at the surface. From across the room, Grey Enigma reads as a refined, consistent grey.
