LED Plinth Light Kit (4 pack) is a recessed plinth light that casts a soft downward wash across the kitchen floor — creating a sense of space and subtle ambient warmth. Ref: LED/PLINTH/LIGHT/KIT/4/PACK. The warm white colour temperature (3000K) creates a considered atmosphere — bright enough to work by, warm enough to feel inviting in the evening.
Kitchen lighting is often the element that transforms a functional space into a room you want to spend time in. Under-cabinet lighting eliminates shadows on the worktop. Plinth lighting opens up the floor plane. In-cabinet lighting makes storage practical rather than a dark cavity.
All Quartz Store lighting uses energy-efficient LED technology with a rated lifespan of 30,000+ hours.

Fitting Notes
Each plinth light requires an 8mm hole drilled through the plinth board. The lights push-fit into the holes and connect via a simple daisy-chain cable. A 12V transformer powers the full set.
Wiring. Low-voltage LED kitchen lighting (12V) does not require a qualified electrician for installation. The transformer plugs into a standard 13A socket. For a concealed installation, a small socket inside a wall unit is ideal.
Planning. For under-cabinet strip lighting, measure the total length of wall units and order accordingly. For plinth lights, we recommend one light per 600mm of plinth run, evenly spaced.
Do I need an electrician?
Not for 12V LED systems. The transformer plugs into a standard socket. If you want the socket itself to be concealed inside a cabinet, an electrician can install one — but the lighting installation itself is straightforward DIY.
What colour temperature should I choose?
Our lights use 3000K (warm white), which is the most versatile kitchen colour temperature. It is warm enough to feel inviting but bright enough for food preparation. Avoid cool white (4000K+) in kitchens — it can feel clinical.
How bright are these lights?
Bright enough for task lighting directly below, but not so bright that they dominate the room. Under-cabinet LEDs are designed to illuminate the worktop for chopping, reading recipes, and general preparation. They complement, rather than replace, your main ceiling lights.
Can I dim the lights?
If the transformer supports dimming (check product specifications), yes. You will need a compatible low-voltage dimmer switch. Standard household dimmers are not suitable for 12V LED systems.
